BAD BEAT JACKPOT WON!!
The Bad Beat Jackpot was won at Piggs Peak Poker on the morning of 27 March 2006 by Mich and it sat at R45 235.07! This is how the hand was played:
It was 02:06 AM and there were 8 players playing at White Bolt, a R3/R6 table.
The Hole Cards are dealt, Shuffle posts small blind, Don posts big blind, Xabbu
is waiting for for the big blind.
Rhino holds 4 Spades 6 Diamonds, Don holds A Spades 9 Clubs, Shuffle holds 5
Diamonds 4 Clubs, Mich holds K Spades K Hearts, Xabbu is waiting for the big
blind, Ronk holds 6 Spades 10 Clubs, quickdraw holds Q Hearts 3 Spades and
Woerts holds 5 Hearts
7 Hearts.
Rhino folds, Woerts calls, Ronk folds, Mich raises, quickdraw folds, Shuffle
folds, Don folds and Woerts calls. The Flop is dealt, 3 Hearts, 6 Hearts and K
Clubs. Mich is holding Three
of a Kind K's and Woerts is chasing the Straight Flush.
Woerts checks, Mich bets and Woerts calls. The Turn is dealt and its a 4 Hearts,
giving Woerts a Straight Flush! Woerts bets and Mich went all-in! The river is
dealt and its a K Diamonds. Mich is sitting with Four of a Kind K's, a pretty
unbelievable hand.
The hands were revealed and an incredulous Mich was beaten by Woert's Straight
Flush, who pocketed the pot of R203.25. This hand qualified as the hand to
topple the Bad Beat Jackpot. All the players at the table walked away with some
extra money. Mich took 50% (R18 094.05) of the Jackpot, 25% (R9 047.02) went to
Woert and the remaining 25% was paid out to the remaining Players (R1 809.40
each).
The Bad Beat Jackpot immediately started running again, so we will have to wait
and see who will be the next one caught by the Bad Beat! Even if you lose you
